Idle thoughts of a relatively libertarian Republican in Cambridge, MA, and whomever he invites. Mostly political.

I just saw a headline "Demi joins Lovelace biopic" and got pretty excited about what I assumed would be a movie about Ada Lovelace . Nope. Apparently there was a pornstar who shared her last name.

My husband has a computer named Lovelace, which I also assumed was named after Ada. I hope I haven't been making the same mistake there.

Comments:
I set up Lovelace my computer on Ada Lovelace's birthday; that's where the name is from. Want to guess on which day of the year I set up the laptop called "Groundhog"?

I had heard of Linda Lovelace, though, because a team in the 70s or early 80s developed an early object-oriented programming language called "Ada" and a later team developed a multi-threaded language called "Linda".
