There's a big college basketball tournament starting tomorrow.
Here are Nate Silver's predictions (with probabilities), along with how they were made. I'm sure his aggregate ranking is quite a bit better than, for example, this ranking, which is probably somewhat better than whoever decided Florida should have a number 2 seed. It's probably even better than a monkey throwing darts, but not by much.
The Wall Street Journal has an interesting tool for filling out your brackets -- it lets you select from between resumes of matched teams without their names. It leaves out some information I would consider important - in particular, I'd like a win-loss record, or, since it categorizes the strength of the conference each team is in, a conference win-loss record.
