Wednesday, August 05, 2009 :::
There is a certain irony in an administration denouncing ordinary Americans who get together to express what they believe and to confront authority, when that administration is led by a man who began his career as a community organizer, whose job, as I understand it, is to take ordinary Americans, get them together to express what they believe, and express demands against the authorities. That's Charles Krauthammer.
From what I've read, it seems there have been some townhall-style meetings in which conservatives have not merely made their presence known and asked legitimate questions in a civil way, but shouted down the proceedings. I disapprove of this, whether it happens to a Democratic congressman or a conservative speaker on a college campus [UPDATE: or social security reform panels]. But conservatives have been protesting in healthy ways, and the accusation from team ACORN that the protesters are professionally-organized and not to be taken seriously is pretty risable.
