Not to single out the Daily Mail, but:Zimbabwe faces the world's highest official inflation of an estimated 25,000 per cent. Independent financial institutions say real inflation is closer to 150,000 per cent. Look, can we agree, please, that if a forest fire burns more than a few thousand acres, we can start measuring it in square miles? And if the value of a Zimbabwe dollar falls a factor of 1500 each year, can we stop measuring that in "per cent"? I suppose it's at least easier to do the translation for that.
I should get ready to go to bed in about a millionth of a century.
UPDATE: Google is pretty awesome - try googling "twelfth root of 1500". I knew it would do basic arithmetic for me, but I wasn't expecting it to parse "twelfth root". 84% a month, it turns out.
