If you don't keep up with Colby Cosh, he's recently started posting regular round-ups of news from around the world. Much of the world is, to borrow an analogy, a dung heap, with us as maggots crawling on it.
One of the dungiest parts of the heap is Zimbabwe. Here's a cheery factoid:Zimbabwe has the highest annual rate of inflation in the world at more than 900%, and the lowest life expectancy, at less than 40. I also read a few months back that more residents of Zimbabwe have AIDS than have jobs.
