There's a story in the Guardian (motto: "more reliable than the Independent") about an asteroid that could hit us in 31 years. It probably won't, but if it does, it will be bad for the environment.
Speaking of the environment, I have a couple of browser windows open to global-warmingopinion pieces that I mean to read but haven't.
