Watched much of the hockey game last night. Game 4 in a best-of-seven occupies an interesting place in my mind, largely because of the way games are quantized; 4-0 is a sweep, 3-1 is a huge lead, 2-2 and you have a best of three. If you're not watching for a sweep, you're watching to see whether the team down 2-1 can catch up or be put away.David Frum the other day [second item] was critical of "The Mighty Ducks" as a name, but I can tell you that name is one of the two reasons I'm cheering for that team. (The other is that I've lived in New Jersey.) As my brother correctly remembered, I once "played for" (viz. "got in the way of") an intramural basketball team called "The Little Fuzzy Bunnies"; as he did not mention, I joined the team only because of its name. Go Ducks!
