(CNN) -- A tsunami warning has been issued for a number of coastal communities in Alaska following a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Thursday near the Aleutian Islands, officials said. The warning was issued for a 250 kilometer (155 mile) radius from the epicenter, said Paul Huang, of the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center. "We have told folks in the effected area to get to higher ground," Huang said. In summary: if you screw up your choice of words every once in a while, it's hardly something to congratulate yourself about, but CNN can't even get "affected" vs. "effected" right, so don't beat yourself up too much.
