Saturday, October 30, 2010 :::
Last year, Larry Tribe wrote a letter to Obama which he apparently intended to keep private in which he characterizes the five most liberal current members of the Supreme Court (plus former Justice Souter).
I'm not passing this along because the letter is particularly enlightening; I mean this more in the spirit of Alice Roosevelt's quip, "if you haven't got anything nice to say, come sit next to me." If I can add something else in that spirit, I think there's some irony in telling Barack Obama that somebody is "not nearly as smart as she seems to think she is."Labels: Alice Roosevelt, Larry Tribe, Sonia Sotomayor
