Mark Steyn connects the strength of the Republican candidate in Massachusetts to the inauguration of Obama; it is a backlash, he notes, against attitudes like that expressed by Brooks:As David Brooks noted after his first meeting with Obama, “I was looking at his pant leg and his perfectly creased pant, and I’m thinking, a) he’s going to be president and b) he’ll be a very good president.” If this election can peel the media off of Obama's leg, saving the health care system will be gravy.
