Idle thoughts of a relatively libertarian Republican in Cambridge, MA, and whomever he invites. Mostly political.

Sunday, July 23, 2006 :::
I may or may not say more about the conference I went to in Rhode Island this weekend. Anchor Rising will probably have something on the matter, and Shari might, too.
I learned this weekend about TheVanguard.org, which is intended to be a "right-wing moveon.org", and was created by a guy who looks like Jonah Goldberg.
Also, on Saturday, (Dean and) I became eligible to serve in the Senate and I heard from and shook hands with a Senator. Not to mention several candidates. Laffey won me over in his first thirty seconds by mentioning that his dog is named after Milton Friedman.
Massachusetts congressional candidates Chuck Morse and Rick Barton also attended.
UPDATE: It occurs to me that, on the first day I was eligible to serve in Congress, I spent the day hung-over in a vacation community, accomplishing nothing.
