Idle thoughts of a relatively libertarian Republican in Cambridge, MA, and whomever he invites. Mostly political.

I have mixed feelings about laws forcing pharmacists to dispense drugs they have moral problems with (at least when they have a local monopoly). But I absolutely support a drugstore's right to require that its employees dispense drugs, especially when the company doesn't have a local monopsony on the labor of pharmacists. I don't know the law in Illinois, or the specific facts of this case, but I'm viscerally cheering for Walgreen's.
